This app offers the Staten Island Ferry timetable as well as a countdown to the next ferry departure. It does not require an online connection so it will work on an iPod Touch or when you don’t have cellular coverage (like on the subway).
The app detects whether you are in Manhattan or Staten Island and automatically provides you with the schedule relevant to your location.
You'll never be stuck missing a boat because this app automatically displays regular and holiday schedules when appropriate.
You can also use the app to inform your friends and family about what ferry you are taking and what time you will arrive at your destination. Just tap the line in the schedule corresponding to the ferry you are on or the ferry you intend to take and select e-mail, sms or facebook from the menu. The app will automatically populate the text of your message for you.
